Well, you have come to the part of your engagement where it is time to figure out what you are going to wear on your big day. So when do you book your wedding dress appointment? This is what we will tell you. The further out you book, the more likely you are to get the day and time you want. The closer to the time you want to shop, your choices are fewer.
When booking your appointment be ready to tell your consultant your wedding date, regular dress size, styles you may be liking and at times your bra size. Are we getting too personal? I know it feels like it, but it really helps the consultant know what gowns will work best on you. Remember wedding dresses generally run small and differently. Most women jump up two sizes in wedding gowns. So don’t focus on size just how good you look!
What to bring to the appointment? Just yourself! If you have specific shoes you are wearing bring them. However, we do provide heels to try on. Most of the time we end up ditching your bra. Especially for the girls who want a low intricate back. Gowns usually have enough support in them that you will not need to wear a strapless bra or corset.
As consultants we love to know your venue and see your pinterest board! This gives us an idea if you are a glam girl, boho chick, or more rustic chic! Come into your appointment with an open mind. Most brides leave with something very different from what they thought they would be in. Trust your consultant. We spend more time with the gowns than you do, and that one dress you scrunch your nose at on the hanger, may be the one!
When booking your appointment just know weekends are always busier than during the week. The more opinions you bring means just that, more opinions. Try to keep your entourage to 1 or 2 of your closest friends or family. Dress shopping should be fun and never stressful. Remember this day is about you. Get what you love and what you feel best in!
Call or email us to setup your appointment today. One of our many qualified consultants are ready and excited to help you say yes to the dress!
