Bridal Trends for 2016

New York City’s bridal fashion week was last weekend, and we had the most amazing time seeing all of our favorite designers. We got a sneak peak into what  2016 has in store for bridal trends. Romance is in the air and in the gowns. It is the word of 2016 when brides are describing their perfect dress.

Boho-chic is on the rise. We saw a lot of plunging necklines with lace sleeves. 3-D flowers are also very popular for designers like Monique Lhullier and Jim Helm. We got a sneak peak at Watters new line Willowby. They are channeling the laid back bride who wants light flowing gowns and cut out lace. Justin Alexander is also bringing back a rustic romantic feel in his line this year. Rosa Clara is playing with more tulle and has added some new more affordable lines under them as well.

Popular bridesmaids colors this season are blush and pastels. Blue is still projected to be another favorite color this year.  While some brides are favoring a blush bridal gown, white and ivory are still the most popular color choices. Another bold move for our fashion forward brides are crop top wedding gowns, and a tailored bridal suit. More over sashes! The veil seems to be the accessory of the season. Dramatic cathedral veils, juliet caps, and gold and blush lace compliment many of the gowns this year.

Sabrina and I are teaming up with even more designers to get their samples in both our Ardmore and West Chester locations. We expect a lot of new inventory this spring.

See you soon ladies.
